 | FanStoryFanStory is a writing community that helps writers learn the skills they need to improve their writing skills. If you are a writer you can benefit by being part of this writing community and learning from the feedback that fanstory reviewers will provide. Fanstory is made up of thousands of poets and writers that give feedback to each other. My ExperienceI joined FanStory in 2011 and haven't stopped using it since I joined. Each day I post a chapter to my book. I also post a poem. Both receive feedback from other writers. FanStory also has poetry contests with cash prizes. It's a joy to get feedback for my writing. I am becoming a better writer thanks to the experience I am receiving. Sharing my writers with strangers (versus friends and family) is a different experience. The strangers, while polite and supportive, aren't worried about hurting my feelings or having a grumpy writer around the house to have to deal with after a review! Is FanStory For You?It depends upon where you are in your writing career. If you are already a published author with a set way to write and if you don't like to get feedback as you are developing your work this may not be the place for you. But if you are looking to improve your writing, enjoy interacting with others via a computer screen, and are looking to improve your skills FanStory should help. FanStory has received excellent feedback from other writers that have stated that it has helped them be published. That is one of the reasons I choose it to share my writing. |
